In a Nutshell:

The main intention of this level 2 immersion is to circle more full out with people who have already learned the basics and are hungry to go deeper. The level 2 is less about teaching and more about playing. You should expect intensity, challenge, and people not holding back. Themes we will explore include withholds, triggers, eros, shadow, grief and trauma. We will do a LOT of circling.

The venue is called Strawflower Homestead and is located at 521 Beaver Point Road.

Accommodations:
If you are coming from out of town, you can contact Greg from Strawflower Homestead at gregclayton@gmail.com. They have floor space available for $20/night (bring your own sleeping stuff), bunkbed dorm for $50/night (bed set up already), or a private room with a one-person mattress for $100/night. If you’re coming Friday night, you can also ask to join them for dinner for $10.

Food:
Salt Spring Island is the only immersion where we have a special circumstance that the venue provides an optional meal plan for $10/meal. You can register for the meal plan by e-transfering $30 to garrett@socialarchitect.io. This includes lunch and dinner on Saturday, plus lunch on Sunday. The food is gluten free, vegan and uses mostly locally grown produce. We highly recommend signing up for this, people usually regret it if they don’t after they see it.

Facilitator Team

Garrett Rokosh he/him - Lead Facilitator

Garrett’s authentic relating journey started six years ago when feeling depressed, numb and lonely at the end of business school he found his way into a AR games night. He left that night completely blown open, glowing, with a cathartic sense that those people had gotten to know him deeper than any of his closest friends. He was hooked.

He devoured an online training with the author of the authentic relating games manual, Sara Ness, then flew to Austin, TX to take her advanced facilitator training, which was the most impactful week of his life. He then moved to Austin for six months to deep-dive into these practices and serve as an apprentice instructor on her training team. Soon after, his focus turned to Circling and led trainings with other top leaders including Jason Diggs, Mark Boughton, and Peter Benjamin. He led the first Circling immersion in Western Canada, has led 18 weekend immersions since then, and mentored several leaders in facilitating Circling.

Aside from AR and Circling, he completed a two year deep nature connection and cultural repair immersion with Wisdom of the Earth Wilderness School, a psychotheraputic training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate, and is currently completing a Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. His weekly jobs include mentoring youth at Thriving Roots Wilderness School, maintaining a private counselling practice, and integrating authentic relating into the corporate world with his company, Social Architect. Some of his corporate clients have included Masterclass, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Burning Man and Mindvalley.
